Brothers and Sisters it is Robert Irwin again to bring you up to speed on conditions inside the plant. The Blast Furnace is on schedule to start up within the next few days, management is forcasting producing Iron before the fourth of July. As for the Local 2122 side the only Department that will be running is the Dualine for now. The Blast Furnace is going to cast Slabs to be shipped to Granite City Works, and cast Rounds for our Pipe Mill. We are not sure why we will be sending slabs to Granite City, however I talked with Local 1899 President in Granite City he thinks the orders are for wider material than we can run. But the Company will not verify that. At least progress is being made, we just need the Flat Roll business at Fairfield Works to turn around. So just keep your heads up high we will get through these hard times. A note there are extensions on Unemployment.

Hey guys its me again, to let you know business is at its worst. The company forecasts orders, there just are not any on the books. Basically if Fairfield doesn't get some pipe orders it will not get any better. I was told today by management that as of right now the Blast Furnace start up has been pushed to the middle of July, originally it was set for the last week of June. We had a Lay off minimization meeting today to go over the mass lay offs at the Pickle Line, next week the same meeting will take place for the Cold Mill lay offs. It is looking like close to the end of June the only department that will be running is the Dualine, they have orders to run for a good while.
